| Ahh Baseball! Yesterday afternoon, I got to go to the opening day game at Safeco Field! It was so cold, and very cool! It actually snowed during the game in Seattle, and saddly but i was very thankfull, because it kept the snow out, the roof was closed=( But as the snowed stoped and the sky lightened the Mariners started to womp on those pesky Texas Rangers! It is always fun to see your team win, and even greater on Opening Day! So I've included a picture of Jose Lopez, the hero for the day, as i wish the good old M's good luck and i hope they sweep the opening series! | | |
| now i know that in some artic areas it is still bitterly cold. thankfully i have moved to an area where spring has come, and i hope it is here to stay. we had an absolutely gorgeous weekend, that had me thinking flip flops, pedicure and softball i can't help myself, i get itchy in the middle of february-beginning of march; always have, i'm the product of an area where spring comes early and having playing softball/tee-ball most of my life something inside of me says lets go play some softball please. hehe. now, i must say this part of me was most un-happy the last few years when i was stuck in cold, snowy new york....snow in february yuck. i'm spoiled i know, but at least i admit it right? so for those of you suck in the artic cold, think spring, flip-flops and softball, and a picture i found that reminds me of spring!
now don't get me wrong this area is completely snow covered at the moment, buried under 100 inches of snow, lots and lots of snow in the last month, but it is just to pretty to and springish to not put up. yes, i know i'm a nut. hummm.....i guess there is not too much new going on that's new. i'm taking a financial peace university class, by dave ramsey with some people my church, and i'm going to be apart of my church's search team, for a new co-paster, that will start soon, but other than that my life is just about the same as usual. so happy spring everybody! | | |
| It's Christmas Break!!!! Yippee!!!!! Even Better Katy, Trevor, Gabe and Keyanna are flying in tommorow!!!!! Oh Happy Day! | | |
| with only two weeks left of school, i'm feeling anxious to be done with december. the next two weeks will be jammed backed with activities and things to do and finish before christmas break....the biggest is our christmas program and hopefully getting the students to at least stand somewhat still and not cause a huge avalolach of studetns falling down the steps....a part of me knows it will be fine, but i still worry about it, i've been apart of christmas programs but i'm in charge of this one and that is scarry....i don't want my first huge thing i do as preschool teacher to go horribly wrong. i'm sure it will be fine, but.........i worry anways....oh well....what can you do. another reason why i want these next two weeks to go fast is that my sister and her family will be here for christmas=) it will be fun to spend lots of time with them. my whole extended family was supposted to be together for christmas, it's been four years since we've all been together at the same time....but my cousin is being deployed a week from today.....he was supposted to be deployed in late january or february, but they moved him up.....that's a fact of military life, but still it would have been nice to have the whole family together, we were planing on taking a big family picture for my grandparents 60th aniversary....we'll just have to photoshop him i suppose....so nice you can play around like that...... having grown up around all my cousins, i think i'm rather spoiled wanting everybody around, but its nice being with everybody..... peace. jill. | | |
| i can't believe that it is the middle of october already, the leaves are starting to turn here and i'm missing the new york east coast fall.....i've never quite seen anything like that, if you ever decided to go to the east coast/new england go in the fall, it's the best time of the year there..... so i've decided that i love teaching preschool, there is of course a ton of prepwork to do, but non of the grading so that's been nice, that i can pass of the prep work/ cutting and coloring to my studen't parents because they want to be involved in their child's schooling, go figure, i should have switched a long time ago=) the only problem with that is i have to have things ready to go for them, i'm a bit of a procrastingator so that's hard and then of course i decided to do something with a lot of prework the night before we do it in class go figure.... so i quit the hotel job, did i mention that before, i can't remember=) and i'm subbing now in the afternoon, i've always said that i love to sub and would do it full time if it offered benifits....the only reason why i didn't do it before was i wanted to try something different and with the way districts work around here is that you don't get paid till the end of the next month, so i won't get paid for my work in oct till the last working day in nov.....once you get into the grove it's fine it just makes it hard for the first few months...... oh....if you could please pray for my sister's father-in-law, he fell from a ladder and severally broke his leg and has been in the hospital and has had several surgries already including tissue grafts and putting plates in.......hopefully he will be able to come home sometime this week..........thanks.... peace. jill | | |
